GOTTA have these CHAIN shades!!!

So what do you think of these shades that a few stylish sexies are sportin around town? Rihanna's been wearin the pair that I also found on www.patriciafield.com. Amber Rose has been sportin her vintage Chanels that are TO DIE FOR. But as much as I would loooove to, I can't be reaching waaaay deep in my pockets and spending massive amounts just to support my fashion fetish. I mean $250 for these suckas, really??? Maybe next lifetime...but until then I can TRY to make do with some DIY tips that I found on a few other blogs. I took some of their tips and sorta changed it up to make it mine! Instead of using the huge chain that the other girls were rockin, I wanted to go with a less "gangsta" type theme and more of an M.I.A., feminine feel. So VOILA!! Check it out....

1. Ok basically grab a pair of cheap glasses with, preferably, a flat top (makes gluing MUCH easier). I got my glasses on sale for $3 at Heritage in the mall. Then get a chain of some sort. Doesn't have to be the ghetto fab chain. It can be whatever you wanna rock, but the lighter in weight the chain is the better...the glue will stay better and the glasses will stay on your face!!!

2. Next grab a glue gun and start gluing away! I actually glued in dots across the top rather than a line, it made my chain come out more even and straight on top. I started doing dots right in the middle of the glasses and worked my way out, that way the chain was more balanced at all times. Blow Blow Blow on the glue, make sure its dry before moving to the next piece of chain. Wait at least a few hours to make sure everything is secure, and then strut your shades like ur on Rodeo Drive with the paparazzi flashin ;)

And this is the end product!! Whatcha think??

P.S: Don't mind the lack of makeup :)

My Top Ten (Good and Bad) Moments from the VMA's

10. Eminem just looked bad to me. Can't put my finger on it, but somethin wasn't right. But at least Bruno wasn't landing in awkward positions on his face.

9. Jay-Z is growin on me ;) He's taking Lil Wayne's spot quick. and Lil Mama...no no no no no haha. Alicia Keys was great tho, and her leggings were the JAM!! Loved em.

8. Beyonce is just classy...even when she's breakin it down, u gotta give it to her, she's classy!! Although, she shoulda sang at least a LITTLE of Sweet Dreams.

7. Lady Gaga lost points in my book last night, for obvious reasons.

6. Madonna couldn't have said it any better!! A perfect speech. Long Live The King!!.. MJ woulda been so proud. And I must say, I'll be seeing the MJ movie too, it looks pretty good.

5. Janet just kicked butt too...Lovely lady. The whole Tribute was great...I don't think I like Jermaine too much tho, he seems a little too much like his dad.

4. Pink is the ish man!!! Who else can do that?? And she totally wasn't lip synching! Amazing. Carey Hart...don't screw it up again man, she's one hell of a woman!!!

3. Where was Drake? Kinda disappointed bout that one. On tour? I dunno...At least I saw a second of my Brit Brit tho :) Ok, and can someone explain Diddy's Dirty Money thing to me please? Not sure I completely understand it. At least Dawn is back.

2. Taylor Taylor Taylor. Well, it was a very bad moment, but she got some good publicity from it! Taylor Swift is just too cute, she didnt deserve that crap from Kanye. I can go on forever about how I feel about Kanye, but he just doesn't deserve to be talked about...in a good light OR bad light so moving on... Oh, and then Beyonce saved the day, good for her.

1. Amber Rose, I like her....and my advice to her is: MOVE ON from Kanye, you are too good for him. Please see what he did as a red flag and get the hell out! The world has seen again the wrath of Kanye, and thankfully I'm pretty sure he and his career are pretty much done for. (Not that he's not talented, but he is not thankful nor is he respectful AT ALL, I don't care how much Hennessy he'd been sippin on, no excuse)...MAN, but was he on point or WHAT when he recorded EGO!?! lol

***Ok....Those were my Top Ten, but I saved my FAV for LAST. And of course it's my precious vamps!! NEW MOON looks so fantastically, amazingly, wonderfully PERFECT!!! Just from the few trailers, I can already tell it was made waaaay better than Twilight. The Volturi...everything looks very believable!!! Sorta Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings-ish. LOoOoOoOoOoVE it. 11/20/09 can not come soon enough...

I agree with Simon...PERFECT audition

Check out this guy!! Danyl Johnson has CrAzY talent, plus a kind of endearing confidence that touches the audience in a way that I've never seen before on any of these shows. He'll go very far :) I look forward to seeing more from him! (Click on the link below)

TRUE BLOOD...My Guilty Pleasure :)

Anyone who has been skeptical about watching this HBO series for whatever reason....Take the PLUNGE and take a BITE into this irresistable show!!! It will NOT leave you disappointed!

Hey, I will be the first to say Twilight had me hooked....so don't feel like you are betraying Edward by giving in to another little vampire fantasy. True Blood brings the more adult and sexy element of vamps to the stage, and with it comes a great story line, strong characters, and a good ole dirty southern atmosphere.

I've only watched Season 1, and I'm going to wait to watch Season 2 when the entire DVD comes out because I hate waiting a whole week between each episode. So until then, I will be dreaming about Bill Compton and his sexy southern charm.

Sookie Stackhouse is one lucky lady :)

The Five Love Languages

So I started reading The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman (New York Times Bestseller) because I thought I had nothing to lose, if anything it would help CJ and I to communicate to each other better...especially since we have to deal with a long distance relationship half of the year. From what I've read so far it is legitimate advice...It's an easy read and it is definitely informative. The concept of the book really makes sense - OK, you and your partner can't seem to get on the same page, you don't know what you are doing wrong. You realize that maybe you two speak a different "love language". And in order to have the most healthy relationship you can, you must find out how to SPEAK the language that your partner speaks and vice versa. It doesn't sound too far-fetched, actually it made a lot of sense to me when I just read the back of the book....hence the reason for me buying it. So anyways, the first thing I did before I started reading it was I took the quiz in the back of the book to see what "language" I spoke, and I made CJ take it to see what "language" he speaks. (I'll post the quiz here, but only if you promise to read the book :) because I mean think about it, now you know your love language and your partner's...you should figure out how to better your relationship with this new found knowledge.) So when I took the quiz I found out that, unfortunately, I speak the language of physical touch . CJ took it and he was a tie. He is words of affirmation (I kinda knew that already :) ) and physical touch. We WOULD both be physical touch just to make it difficult on us haha....think about it, we are in a long distance relationship, Physical touch is really the only love language that seems impossible to achieve with our situation lol. Of course we can't have it simple and both be, sayyyy, receiving gifts because that would just be too easy haha (in a long distance relationship I mean). But we will work with what we've been handed :) Love ain't easy!! So anyways, here's the link for an example of the quiz you will take in the back of the book...

What I Think About Twitter...

At first, when I signed up for Twitter I was like OK no, I'm cancelling my account this is way stupid. But now that I've been on it for a while I realized what the total concept of Twitter is. And its basically just a fun way to let ppl know a random thought u have or just let ppl in on what you are doing at that moment in time. A lot of celebrities are on it and they go as far as to post pictures and videos, etc. I'm not totally there yet, but I see how fun it could be. I wish a lot more people would get on so that it would make it that much more fun for me. I guess it'll pick up in time just like Facebook and Myspace. The good thing about Twitter is that there's no extra details you have to worry about....you tweet you send your done. Easy enough. Anyways....thought this might talk some people into joining cuz I would loooove to have more buddies to tweet with :) Plus you can keep tabs on your fav celebs (kinda cool haha).

P.S. Yep, I've come to the conclusion that I'm a geek...but only because I sit at a desk all day AND I just bought my first laptop, PLUS I own a Crackberry. Don't hate me, hate the game :)

Start your own Twitter...you know you want to :) Here ya go - www.twitter.com

CJ is Playin for the Minor League Angels!

I am soooo proud of my boyfriend, CJ Bressoud, who is following his dream and going so far! If CJ has taught me anything, it's that there's no better feeling than to know that you are living out your dream. He has made me want to be a better person and to live out any and every dream that I have, because you only have one life to live so you might as well do what you love. Now more about CJ... He is an amazing baseball player, now a catcher in the LA Angels farm system. He has had a pretty turbulent season...playing great in spring training, and first being sent to Iowa to play for the Cedar Rapids Kernels. After not getting a decent opportunity to shine there, he was sent to Arizona to play for a while. And there is where he showed his outstanding talent...blowing everyone away, and even proving to himself that he still has what it takes. After only a week in Arizona, he was moved up to play in the California League for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. Follow the team and CJ at http://www.rcquakes.com/ and please keep him in your prayers!!

Love and Life Quotes :)

Since I can remember, I have enjoyed reading quotes and making up my own. I have gone (like everyone else I'm sure) through some trials and tribulations....and to me the best way to feel better in any situation is to hear a quote or line or lyrics that make you realize you're not alone in how you feel or what you are going through, because I pretty much can guarantee you, someone's been there and felt what you felt. I decided to start a little quote blog that I'll update hopefully daily to go with what emotion I'm feeling that day or what seems to be on my mind at that certain moment. Like one of my favorite quotes says...

---"It is not so much the content of what one says as the way in which one says it. However important the thing you say, what's the good of it if not heard or, being heard, not felt?"
